What’s on Your Travel Checklist?

Written by Terri Fogarty

It is just two days until we take off for our Europe trip. We have gone through our checklist and are down to just a few other tasks before we leave. Here is our Travel Checklist before we take an extended vacation to Europe.

Pre-Travel Checklist

  • Arrange care for our dog and lawn, and plants
  • Let the neighbors know that we will be gone and for how long.
  • Put your lights on timers to make your home look lived-in
  • Make sure our bills are up to date. ( We have automatic bill pay)
  • Have our newspaper discontinuedgondola.jpg
  • Have our mail held
  • Call our credit card companies to let them know we will be out of the country.
  • Make copies of our passports, itineraries, vouchers, etc, along with the numbers to call in case your credit card is lost or stolen
  • Send a copy of your itinerary, including hotel phone numbers or websites to your family and interested friends.
  • Put your jewelry and important papers in a safety deposit box at your bank.
  • Pack your Passports in your carry-on
  • Don’t forget your electrical converters and outlet plug adaptors.
  • Get some Euros or prepare to get Euros from an ATM when you arrive
  • Make sure you have your medications packed
  • Take an extra pair of glasses, if you have them
  • Pack your Umbrella
  • Make sure your toiletries are packed in your checked luggage. (You can only take items that fit in a quart sized, zip-lock bag and contains less than 3 oz each, in your carry-on)

Its nice to have a little list to check off before you get on that plane, so when you finally sit down in those uncomfortable little seats, you can finally relax.

So, what’s on your Travel Checklist?
