Ryanair Predicts Fewer European Airlines

The Times of London reports that the chairman of Ryanair has predicted that only five carriers will survive in Europe after the current aviation upheavels have been worked through.
Howard Millar told the audience at an airline conference that easyJet and Ryanair are the two low-cost carriers that would survive, and other sources revealed that the others would most likely be British Airways, Lufthansa and Air France/KLM.
More consolidation of the airlines will, he notes, result in a loss of jobs, fewer flights, and consequently fewer choices for travelers.
