We are off to France tomorrow and will be trying to post as often as possible on our trip.
We will start our France adventure in Biarritz and travel throughout the Southwest corner of France to Bayonne, St. Jean de Luz and other typical Basque Towns. Biarritz is a big surfing town and is also known for its fantastic golf courses and spas.
Then on to Lyon for a conference and lots of touring. Lyon is the gastronomic capital of France, so we are looking forward to lots of great meals. The Saint-Jean and the Croix-Rousse areas of Lyon, which are noted for their narrow passageways (traboules) that pass through buildings and link the streets on either side, were designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1998.
We will take lots of pictures and make lots of notes. We hope to give you a fresh look at these two remarkable parts of France, so check in every day or so, or sign up for our RSS feed. A bientot!
