Find The Best Hotels in Venice
Many of the best hotels in Venice line the Grand Canal, and there also are other pleasant accommodations in the sestrieri, the outlying city areas of Dorsoduro, San Marco, Castello and San Polo. It is advised to avoid staying in the area around the train station which is very noisy and it is also advised to avoid the Mestre area, which is a sprawling industrial area. Always book hotels well in advance to avoid being disappointed.
A few of our favorite Venice hotel recommendations:
Canada Hotel $$ is a good budget option located near the Rialto.
Alloggi Agli Artisti $$ is located a short walk to popular tourist attractions such as the Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square.
Pensione Seguso $$ is an old-fashioned pension with lots of atmosphere that overlooks the Giudecca Canal; most rooms have water views.
Hotel Cipriani $$$$ is a luxury hotel set amongst lovely gardens on the Giudecca, a chain of islets located a short distance via water taxi from the central area.
Hotel Danieli $$$ is another luxury hotel, often considered Venice’s finest accommodation. For the full experience ask about booking in the older section rather than in the modern annex.
