Salzburg is a beautiful, baroque city located right on the Salzach River, with parks, 
historical sites and wonderful music venues, plus shopping and dining spots that won’t put a huge hole in your pocketbook. This is the place of Mozart’s youth and you will see his imprint across the town. Salzburg is also considered a world-class live music destination. In summer, it hosts the famous Salzburg Festival, bringing thousands to enjoy live, classical music. Tiny Salzburg offers more than 2 ,000 live performances in its churches and palaces every year. And the memorable film “The Sound of Music” was filmed in this city and in the surrounding hills. You can even take the “Sound of Music Tour” to visit all the filming locations.

Vienna is Austria’s treasure, filled with historical sights and modern masterpieces; it is a perfect blend of old and new, offering visitors a full cultural, historical and visual experience. The old quarter of Vienna is a wonderfully walkable area, but you can also take a streetcar ride (Line 1 or 2) on the Ringstrasse that circles the city; you will see beautiful architectural treasures and a true slice of Vienna.

This sparkling town is a jewel in Austria’s crown. Innsbruck is located on the River Inn at about 1880 feet above sea level. The name Innsbruck is derived from the original meaning “bridge over the Inn”.

On our recent trip to Austria, we were amazed by the beauty of this country and its historical and picturesque cities. There is so much to see and do year-round in this little country and it is all in easy reach by car or Austria’s excellent train service.
