Buy a Car…Get a Free Trip to Europe
Terri November 30th, 2007
If you were thinking of ordering a new car for Christmas, here is a nifty idea that will also give you a free trip to Europe.
Order your new car at your local dealership, then fly to Europe to pick it up (some car makers even include free airfare.) You can save 5-11% on the cost of the car, which could make your trip to Europe virtually free. Plus, you won’t need to pay for a rental car during your vacation.
At the end of your trip, drop off the car and fly home; the car will be shipped to your local dealer and will arrive in a month or two.
Many car makers—including Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Saab and Volvo, as well Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls-Royce and Bentley—can save you thousands of dollars with their European delivery programs.
The deal is that when you pick up your car in Europe and drive it for a period of time the car manufacturer can then ship the car to the US as a used vehicle. This eliminates the high tariffs imposed on imported cars.
Not all dealers want to deal with this issue, but it is legit and a great bargain, so check out the manufacturer’s websites for complete information.
Happy car buying and enjoy that free trip to Europe!

I was just talking with a friend about this. He wants to do it but wasn’t sure where to start to look. This was perfect. I just sent him the link.
