Thanks for this article. I had the chance to see the view from the Splendid Etoile superior rooms and it’s amazing, somehow unique. The one from the Westin Paris seems to be incredible too!

Great article and good selection of hotels. I know and like very much the hotel du Quai Voltaire. I have slept there once and that was an experience in itself just to open up the windows of the room and enjoy the view. http://www.quaivoltaire.fr/ As far as I know there are only two hotels in Paris on the left bank that are directly facing the Seine: this one and Hotel Le Notre Dame newly opened after a complete lift and relook from Mr Christian Lacroix. Hotel Splendid Etoile is definitely an ideal hotel in Paris and particularly for newcomers as it gives a deep immersion into the historic and iconic Paris with its unbelievable view of the Arc de Triomphe from most of its bedrooms. http://www.paris-hotel-splendid.com/splendid-english/photos.html
