I love this picture, my home country ! I am from Darmstadt, which is right next to Heidelberg, thanks to you folks I am feeling homesick now …. the smell of gluehwein and christmas cookies, the christmas markets… wish I was there now.

I was just there on a Christmas market river cruise. You are right, gluehwein, cookies and roast chestnuts leave a warm and memorable impression. We drove into the Black Forest and it was covered in powdery snow…all in all a wonderful experience.

Oh wow, I was there only a few months ago. The Schloss and ‘Great Barrel’ (wine barrel that could hold 270,000 litres!) inside it are amazing!!!!
